    North Penn Community Health Foundation Awards Forty-Five Grants Totaling $631,200

    North Penn Community Health Foundation (Lansdale, PA) awarded forty-five grants totaling $631,200 to forty-one local nonprofits. Among the grants awarded were:

    Montgomery County Community College Foundation - $98,000 over one year in support of a dental outreach prevention, screening and patient education program for residents of the North Penn and Indian Valley in Pennsylvania.

    The PEAK Center - $70,000 over 15 months in collaboration with Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services and the Montgomery County Foundation in support of a study of the needs of “baby boomers” and a County-wide visioning session to develop localized strategies and service scenarios to address these needs in the year 2015 and beyond. - View related news item...

    Upper Gwynedd Township - $75,000 in grant support to complete the acquisition and furnishing of the C-100 mobile command emergency communications vehicle. Grant funds include $45,000 contributed by Merck & Co., Inc., West Point Division; $15,000 in contributions received from local businesses and matched by an outright gift of $15,000 from the Foundation.
