Lawmakers Honor North Penn’s Community Partners Center for Health and Human Services

Services available from the North Penn Community Health Foundation (NPCHF) and its partners at the new Health and Human Services nonprofit office center in Colmar is the focus of the November edition of Legislative Report with Rep. Kate Harper (R-Montgomery).

The Community Partners Center for Health and Human Services is home to NPCHF staff and six other nonprofit organizations that provide health and human services to local residents. It is the first center of its kind in the state and was designed to meet platinum standards for “green buildings.” In recognition of those accomplishments, Harper and fellow Montgomery County lawmakers, Reps. Bob Godshall, Jay Moyer and Rick Taylor, presented NPCHF with a resolution adopted by the state House in September.

The center was created to provide a professional workplace that supports the essential role of local nonprofit organizations and enhances local access to programs and services. Other nonprofit agencies now located at the center include: Carson Valley Children’s Aid, Northwestern Human Services of Montgomery County, Jaisohn Center, Women’s Center of Montgomery County, Health Promotion Council of Southeastern PA and North Penn YMCA.

During the 30-minute program, Harper talks with Russell Johnson, president and CEO of NPCHF, about the value of the center to both nonprofit organizations and their clients. She also talks with representatives of the other nonprofit agencies housed in the building about the services they provide.

The show will air as follows:

    • Comcast Cable, Channel 96 – Thursday, Nov. 13, and Thursday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m.
    • Montgomery Township, Comcast Channel 22 – Airs daily at 6 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.
    • Colonial School District, Comcast Channel 27 – Airs Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
