| The North Penn Community Health Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the award of three grants to its supported organizations, totaling $125,000. Each of these grants is aligned with the Foundation's funding priorities as indicated below.
Helping people with disabilities or chronic diseases to remain living in their own homes:
Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA - $50,000 over three months in support of the establishment of a Lansdale based consumer drop-in center for residents of the North Penn area.
Promoting wellness & informed decision making through prevention and education
North Penn Visiting Nurse Association - $35,000 over one year in support of health education and prevention efforts on community needs focusing on cancer screening, glucose screenings, blood pressure and strake assessments and two programs focused on health eating and body image programs for kids. This program will partner with area organizations to ensure access to vulnerable populations and others who may be at risk for adverse health outcomes.
Child, Home and Community - $40,000 over two years in support of a case management program that encourage self-sufficiency among adolescent parents.
